Artificial intelligence does three jobs in this business, and does not do several others that you might reasonably assume it does. This says which is which, in enough detail to be checkable.
This single statement carries every form of AI disclosure we make. They are gathered here rather than split across separate pages so that they cannot contradict one another.

We use artificial intelligence in parts of this business. Specifically, in three places: to separate your vehicle from its background after you upload a photograph, to create some of the illustrative imagery on this website, and to help draft written material including customer support replies.
Everything sold to you is made by people, from a photograph you supply. No AI generates the artwork printed on your Pillow. The picture on your Pillow is your photograph.
The sections that follow give the detail. We would rather be specific than reassuring — a vague disclosure is not much of a disclosure.

That is the complete list. AI is not used anywhere else in this business: not in pricing, not in deciding whether to accept an order, not in fraud scoring, not in choosing what to show you, and not in any decision about you as a person.

discloses that automated systems incorporating machine learning are used in the operation of its website and in the fulfilment of customer orders, in the manner described in section 2.
Such systems are used exclusively for image processing, content production and drafting assistance. They are not used to make, and do not contribute to, any decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect concerning any individual — including any decision about pricing, creditworthiness, eligibility, employment, housing, insurance, or access to any service.
No consequential decision, as that term is used in emerging state artificial intelligence legislation, is made or informed by an automated system in this business.
Human oversight is maintained at every point where an automated system's output reaches a customer. Every automatic cut-out is reviewed by a person before printing; every support reply is read and sent by a person; every image published is selected by a person.

One AI service touches the photograph you upload: remove.bg, operated by Kaleido AI GmbH. It performs the automatic background removal — the step that produces the outline your Pillow is cut to.
Your photograph is sent to that service, processed, and the cut-out returned. It is a processor under our Privacy Policy, bound by contract to act only on our instructions.
We do not use your photograph to train any AI model, and we do not permit anyone we send it to do so. Not our models, not a vendor's models, not a model we might build later. If we ever wanted to, we would ask for your consent first — and asking would mean a request you could refuse without it affecting your order, not a line added to an updated policy.
No AI analyses the content of your photograph. The cut-out separates a foreground shape from a background. It does not identify the vehicle, read the number plate, recognise a face, estimate anyone's age, or describe the scene. See Privacy Policy section 7 for the full statement about faces and biometrics — the short version is that nothing here looks at people.
The cut-out is imperfect on thin features — aerials, mirrors, spoilers, spokes. This is why a person checks every order, and why we will contact you rather than print a bad outline.
The preview renderer is not artificial intelligence, and we will not describe it as such. It is worth explaining what it actually is, because it looks like magic and it is not.
The renderer is ordinary, deterministic drawing code running in your own browser. It takes the outline of your cut-out, measures how far every point is from the nearest edge, treats that distance as a height — so the middle stands proudest, as a stuffed cushion does — and shades the result with a simulated light. It draws a second, mirrored face behind the first so the Pillow can turn all the way round.
There is no model, no training data, no inference and no randomness. The same photograph produces the same preview every time. It is geometry and arithmetic, and it runs on your device in under a second without asking any server anything.
It is a very carefully built drawing program. Calling it AI would sell it short and would also be untrue.
Also not AI: the pricing, the cart, the cut-and-sew layout, the print file generation, and the checkout. All of it is conventional software.
And the Pillow itself is made by people — printed, cut, and sewn. See our Terms section 5 for what the preview is and is not, including the important point that it is a simulation rather than a photograph of a finished product.
Some images on this website are generated by artificial intelligence. These are illustrative: room settings, garage and studio scenes, and other environments used to show how a Pillow might look in a space.
Every such image carries a visible "AI-generated" label, as described in section 8. If an image on this site is not labelled, it is a real photograph or a genuine render of our own product.
Text on this site has in places been drafted with AI assistance and edited by a person — see section 7.
Where an illustrative image shows a Pillow, that Pillow is a depiction, not a photograph of a manufactured item, and it is labelled as such. We will not present a generated image as evidence of a product's real appearance, construction or quality. When we have production photographs of real Pillows, we will use those, and they will carry no label because none will be needed.
Customer reviews and testimonials. We publish no review that is not from a real, identified customer who gave permission. We do not generate reviews, we do not write them for customers, and we do not publish an AI-written testimonial in any form. A fabricated review is unlawful under the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, and it is also simply a lie about our product.
The preview of your Pillow is generated from your own photograph by the renderer described in section 5. It is not AI- generated and it carries no AI label, because it is a computed drawing of the artwork we will actually print.
We use AI to help draft written material, including some product copy and some replies to customer questions.
Every message you receive from us is read and sent by a person. Nothing is sent to you automatically by a model, and no reply reaches you unreviewed.
There is no chatbot on this site. If you email us, a person answers. If that ever changes, any automated agent will identify itself as such at the start of the conversation, without you having to ask, and you will be able to reach a person.
Anything we tell you about your order — what was printed, when it shipped, why something went wrong — is checked against the order record by a person before it is sent. We do not let a drafting tool invent a fact about your order.
Every AI-generated image published on this site carries a visible label attached to the image itself — not buried in a caption, not in a page footer, and not only in this document.

Where a generated image depicts a Pillow, the label says so explicitly — "not a product photograph" — because that is the part a reader actually needs to know.
We do not currently embed provenance metadata such as C2PA Content Credentials in published images. If we adopt it, we will say so here. Visible labelling is not conditional on that, and does not wait for it.
There is no single federal rule requiring an "AI disclosure" as such. What applies is Section 5 of the FTC Act, which prohibits deceptive acts and practices — and a claim about AI is a claim like any other. We hold ourselves to the following, which is what that means in practice:
If you think anything on this site is misleading about AI — a claim we make, an image we failed to label, a description that oversells — tell us at . We will look at it and fix it if you are right, and we will tell you what we did.
You can also report a concern to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov or to the California Attorney General. Nothing in our Terms prevents you from doing so, and you do not need to come to us first.
